T3 W9 Maths Squares and Cubes

On Friday, Room 12 was physically making squares and cubes of numbers out of unilink blocks by doing 2 by 2, 3 factors of 4 and even more. It was pretty easy, but I had to count in my head the total number of blocks to make a cube of a number and that was the hardest thing about it.
Then Mrs Golder made us make harder squares and cubes of numbers like 6x6x6, each group had to join each other's unilink blocks. The first group who did the 6-cubed was the group next to us and then we joined up with them and that's how we made larger squares and cubes.IMG_3280 me.jpg

T3 W9 My Origami

The Origami that I made myself was a winged heart. The reason why I made a winged heart was because I thought it would be like challenging to me. It took 20 minutes to make it because I had to pause and play the video while I was making the origami. I almost finished the origami and it looked perfect but I still needed a couple more steps to go. Finally I was so happy.

Who knows what was on Friday the 28th of Agust??? well obviously it was Daffodil Day.

My daffodil is very unique to the Room 12’s daffodils. People are impressed how my daffodil is and looks like. It took me  30 minutes just to make one daffodil out of paper. The first one I ripped it then I made a another one. My friend, Simon made me a stalk because I was too busy.

T3 W4 Netball Tournament

Schools all ready, referees steady, the whistles blow like a confetti. We versed heaps of schools. We won all our games but unfortunately we lost in the finals against Sylvia Park School. Even though we didn’t come first we were all overjoyed. We came second. Yay!   At the end of the day we did our school proud.

In Other Words

In Other Words
Long ago where time stood still was a poem. The poem told us a way that people used to live. These people were called “Strugglers who lived their lives as shocking as a fish leaping out of deep water. They spoke with sharp tongues that hit you like a light stabbing through a row of trees. They prayed to their gods boldly by opening up their eyes during prayer time.

One Struggler said to the other one “Stop snoring you noisy cow you’re keeping me awake in the middle of the night, you're torturing my ears. GO SLEEP IN THE BUSH!!”
“Every minute of everyday of my every life has been a nightmare when you snore.” The Struggler banished him to the library in the bush.
So the Struggler lived happily ever after.     zzzzzzzz

In Other Words (This is the original poem)

A poem is a way
of knowing you are alive

As shocking as a fish
leaping out of deep water

As sharp as light stabbing
through a row of trees

As bold as opening up
your eyes during prayer

As simple as lying awake
in the middle of the night
listening to the sound
of people

Every minute
of every day
of every life

is a full library
