Hokule'a Landing

It was a long day...

Firstly we started getting everyone together in lines. A few more minutes later the teachers did a speech saying “ When you walk, walk sensibly,  When we walk, walk together and be safe.”

Once we arrived near Point England we started to see other schools like Panmure Bridge, Glen Innes and many more schools.

I never knew that colleges and a heap more schools would come. All of a sudden we had to stop. At some point we realized that other schools were going first to the beach. That’s why we stopped.

Afterwards we finally arrived at the beach and we sat where our sign had the name of our school. Once we sat down I sensibly asked my teacher if I could take photos. Ten minutes later the boat that all the schools saw was moving back and forwards for some reason.

Finally the Hawaiians came and all the schools started to do the haka. But it was kind of weird because some schools were singing the song too late and some too early. After the Haka was finished some old man did a speech for them and they did one for us. Man, we had to sit for hours but I was too busy taking photos of the schools and people doing the haka.

Lastly we finished with a karakia and all the schools had to Hi-5 the Hawaiians and off we went back to school.
